Smile Well it lit up........
Batteries arrived and quick service all round ........loaded one up the spout and shows 3.3v ? Normally time to throw ..........anybody know the normal drain on a RUN OF THE MILL LCD VR3 ? I can hopefully work out how long it will last ................high internal resistance on the battery etc.

Must be some technical wiz's out there to help the dopies amongst us ?

think i will stick one in and leave the unit on and time how long it takes to run down.

The first four I tested were nearly dead, going to buy a cheap batt tester instead of using the VR3 before I check any more, sick of having to re enter pin nos!!!

I too fell foul of the nearly dead batteries on EBay....four times. It's really not worth the potential savings. I now buy mine all pristine from
Batteries & rechargeable batteries at Budget Batteries
and don't have these problems

well just tested all 30 with a volt meter and every one was over 3.6v, and most around 3.8v so i am happy

Just tested my 30 and I got 2 @ 3.65, 7 @ 3.66 and 21 @ 3.67

Not tested under load though, just with a voltmeter, but they seem OK.
