| I use the RGBM M1 myself and had no problems with it. I got mine for 99 quid at last September's dive show Serious note though, if you are struggling for a computer, you can borrow my backup M1 if you like (the older grey non RGBM version). If it gets you out of a hole, and keeps a trip on then let me know and I can post it up to you or something. I'll have it back afterwards though

| Thanks for the offer mate very decent of you but i'll be ok on the tables as it's St Abbs so don't expect much if anything over 18M which gives me more than enough bottom time. |
| ||||
| OK Daz, but if you suddenly find a need, just holler Enjoy practicing with the tables - I did a couple of dives on them recently after about a year without bothering due to using computers, and it was surprising how much I had forgotten ![]()

| Your going to St Abbs and not planning to do the Glanmire? I'd keep chasing them, but tables and a watch work fine, or they did for me for 10 years or so

| True, my first 50 dives were done either on tables and watch only, and later D-Timer, it took until Dive 51 to use a computer for the first time, and by dive 100 I had forgotten how the tables worked. Now at almost dive 150 I am making an effort to put dives onto the tables, so that I can remember how it works! It is amazing how easily you just come to rely on that wrist mounted computer so blindly... ![]()

FFS!!!!!! after chasing this up with the LDS where i bought and returned my computer to(some 4 weeks ago) i am told that it has been sent back to Mares in Italy. I can't understand the logic you can buy a new RGBM M2 for £99 what are they arsing around at? It will have cost nearly that in bloody postage. Would it not be easier just to give me a new computer????? Mentioned this to the LDS and was told "That's up to Mares not us." Oh well i seem to remember them being quick enough to take my money off me less than 12 months ago but now don't appear to give a monkey's. Offered a loan computer which is fair enough but still involves a 40 Min drive to collect it. I think i am right in saying that under the sale of goods act the LDS are liable for faulty goods for the first 12 months? this was the case with my Xbox when that went bobies skyward the shop tried the same "We will send it back to microsoft it'll be back in a few weeks" I kicked off quoted the sale of goods act following advice from the CAB hey presto instant replacement from the shop. Now i don't know if i was right or if the manager was just being helpful either way it worked out in my favour. I would not mind so much but i really hate shit after sales service and the couldn't care less attitude of this particular LDS. Anyway guess where i won't be spending my hard earned on Diving gear in the future. Rant over. |

This obviously isn't an isloated problem as the same thing has happened to both mine and the missus' M1's. I haven't bothered to do anything about it as it still seems to work fine and the bubbles don't block the display. Maybe they just need a few chamber rides to right the 'bend'!! |

| I must be lucky, as both of my M1's appear to be functionng fine (once I discovered that they really like Duracell batteries and not the Tesco Value ones )Hope you get it sorted soon Daz...
