| Imported post Am about to buy a Vytec for use with twin set and single cylinder rig. Transmitter and quick dissconnect wont fit between 1st stage and cylinder on twin set [1st stage horesontal] Contenplating using a 6" HP hose and sitting the transmitter underneath the manifold isolator. Anyboddy tried this? Wondering wether cylinders and steel back plate on wing would stop signal? Cheers, Paul.

| Imported post Hi, Using Apex TX 50s with DS4 First stage. Good to here it fits! Presume NO signal problems? Quick Disconnect allows me to transfer the transmitter to 1st stage of single cylinder rig! Cheers, Paul

| Imported post Hi Paul as I said in the PM I sent, the sender was mounted directly to the first stage and not with a quick release. The only thing that worried me about having it this way was when the wing was inflated it did seem to press against the sender unit.I've had a look at what you were suggesting, it would work with the six inch hose directly into the first stage. The quick release, I think, would potentially cause problems as it would extend things between the cylinder and the wing.Sorry for not being clearer in my earlier post. I'm also not sure how well the quick release and sender unit would work on the single tank set up as it would be sticking out a fair old way. Best of luck. |

All I can suggest is giving it a try and seeing. I suppose you could always cable tie the hose/transponder over your shoulder to the harness.

| Imported post First an answer - use a transmitter on a Scuabpro Mk20 with no problems on any of the routing. Second a question - my Bud. and I both have Vytec's with transmitters. but his frequently shows "Fail" during the dive. The book says this is due to lack of a signal - but does anyone have experience of this problem? The transmitter seems to work OK, but sometimes it seems to lose track of where it is. Any ideas? Cheers Nick
