| Nic If you want to borrow the IR receiver and cable let me know, I may even have a spare IR receiver (which will work provided your not on vista). You can get the software off the scubapro website Ian |

You need to dry the water contacts... normally a 10 second blast of compressed air will do the trick, leave it to dry for a while, or a hair dryer When the contacts are wet it will go into dive mode, I get round this issue myself by turning the water contacts off in settings HTH Brian

| This feature of the Tec 2G really bothered me until I stumbled by accident upon the solution. When it's stuck in dive mode (i.e. the water contacts are wet or salt-coated): If you very briefly press both buttons simultaneously, it goes directly into the settings mode at the "Contacts on/off" option. Then press & hold the right button until the option flashes, press the right button again to select "off" and then press & hold the right button again to confirm. I use this strategy between dives and at the end of last dive of the day to conserve the battery. Then I soak it in FW when returning home. When it's dried off, I reactivate the water contacts in the SET 1 page. If you accidentally forget to reactivate the contacts before your next dive, it won't turn itself on until you're at a couple of metres depth or you can turn it on manually by pressing & holding the right button (I've done this a few times upon submerging). Hope this helps. |
