the Cressi Archimedes II can also do 2 mixes (thats the main if not only change from the original one )

Under no circumstance consider the oceanic veo 100 . One button no backlight, its awful.

Suunto Gekko, easy operation will handle all recreational no light but easy to read screen.

Vyper my weapon of choice great comp, also can download info to pc

Vyper 2 my new weapon as eldest has nabbed my original vyper after losing a veo 100 mmmmm, I wonder. Nice bit of kit deep stops, also gas switching and a compass but i still prefer my wrist compass its on all the time.

PRICES approx 149, 210, 295 in order, have not include the vytec as i don't have any info cheers.

I used to use a vyper but then had a few issues with it. I also needed to upgrade as I was starting to gas switch for deco. I now have an apeks quantum. Similar to the vyper in terms of operation and seems to have taken quite some punishment. It also sings to you if you are doing any stops on a shotline in heavy swell!

ooh, that was something I didn't like about the Aladin Prime! Once you select a gas mix, you're stuck with it until you have cleared desat. Rules out taking a bottle of, say 32% from home, then switching to air for the second dive, with a rented/locally filled tank. You have to pick your mix and stay with it.

Or is that normal for other computers also?

Phil

Ta for that. I do like my little old Cressi, even better if they've upgraded them.
