| Imported post <font color='#8D38C9'>Hi Luke, I used to dive with the cobra (air intergrated version of the vyper). This was console mounted. I used to think it was great, having it on the console, but then that is all I had ever known. Got the Vytec at the dive show last year and have been using it on my wrist. IT'S SO MUCH EASIER!! You only need to look at your wrist when you want to check stuff, rather than fart around looking for the console. Even if you clip your console in, it still takes a longer to look at. Also, when you try to real in an DSMB, it's difficult to hold the console to check your ascent rate/ depth. If you've got it on your wrist, there's no problem! Again, the same argument for CBL's & AAS ascents. When you've got a console, you have to find some way of holding it, as well as the casualty. If it's on your wrist it's already there for you to see! Therefore, having dived with computers both ways, I'd mount it on your wrist if I was you! Jen

| Imported post <font color='#736AFF'>Its also worth considering that your console will be dragged around the floor of the dive boat / RIB / shore and prone to scratches and worse. |

| Imported post On your wrist as you ca always have it woth you after the dive, and i spent quite a bit of money getting al of my stuff separate so that i didnt have a stupid big console. Just for the records i don't dive with any redudancy for depth or time if my computer packed in, my buddy has a computer and can control the ascent.

| Imported post <font color='#810541'>Mine's in a console, but I'm not sure I want it there any more for a variety of reasons. Anybody know how much the wrist mount costs seperately? I don't think I got one when I bought it (bought regs console etc together). Jimbo

| Imported post you can do a safe ascent by going at the same speed as the small exhaust bubbles. When i do deco dives i will be wearing a DT as well but for single tank 20m dives i dont believe its an issue.

Why just use a D Timer for deco dives? If you've got one you may as well take it on all dives!

| Imported post all good points here.. im going to try it out and see how it goes.. i can always switch it back later. |

| Imported post yeah i've tried it, its used a guide to your speed when doing CBLs. Whats the point of wearing loads of extra kit if you dont need it.
