Downloading Dives from Vyper

Hi,

I have just tried to dowload the last few dives I did however when it gives me a list of dives it has it misses a couple off. I know they're still on the computer as I can see them in the logbook. I've tried loads of times and it refuses to find these dives. I'm usinf the latest version of suunto dive manager. Does anyone know anything else I can do to try and force it to find them before it drives me mad!

Thanks,

Carly

My mates vyper does this a LOT and mine sometimes.
Doesn't appear to matter what software version you use (v1 or any of v2).

It seems to be salt or dirty contacts as quite often simply cleaning the bottom of the computer with water, drying and meths then connecting the cable, making sure its snug seems to work.

It maybe it misses dives if it gets a slight interruption in the transfer and truncates from there. The download itself is just a simple memory dump so thats possible.

2 and half years using vyper and vytec and never had problems with missing/skipping dives when transferring. No I have typed that I bet it all goes to pot!

Mine is about 4 years old and started doing it last year. Its done about 600 dives.

Best suggestion i can think is soak it overnight in fresh water then dry thoroughly with air gun, then maybe some meths on the contacts (and cable contacts).

Thanks for your suggestions, I always soak it in fresh water to clean it when I get home from dives.

I've had this problem intermittantly since I got it, although before this it has found the dives after a couple of attempts.

I'll soak the vyper again and try washing the contacts on the transfer cable, see if it''ll find my dives
