Aladin Prime Battery Problem

Hi All

Just wondering if anyone else has had a problem with their Aladin Prime eating through batteries at a tremendous rate of knots?

I met another diver recently in a dive shop who had the same problem and wondered if there was a known fault.

Uwatec / Scubapro / Aladin just told me to take it back to my local dealer so that they can decide if it should be returned - not very helpful when I live 30 odd miles away from them and dont visit often!

I am thinking about sticking it in the post back to Scubapro as it is currently just a (not very good) paper weight!

Regards
AlBal

My smartcom is using a lot of battery especially if I download often my dives.
I'm on my 3 battery since the begining of the year (I haven't dived much this year ). I took mine back (both times) to the shop (Uwatec dealer) I got it from and had the battery changed.
Down side is that it had to be send away for the battery to get changed. Good service from the shop owner though, I'm always given another computer for as long as mine is away. Both times I didn't have to pay for the new battery or transportation fees abroad.

ok, I was quick to post the poor response I initially received from Scubapro/Uwatec so I thought I would be just as quick to post about the good response I received.

Scubapro customer service asked me to email them the serial number for the unit that was giving me grief. I did this and they then said that I could send it straight to them. I did this on Tuesday of this week and by Friday I had a brand new in the box Prime dive computer.

Cant complain about that for service and I am happy again so well done Scuabpro and thanks for the customer service.
