| Aladdin v's Suunto Just thought of putting this on the forum now, I was in Barcelona a few months back on a Stags weekend and we ended up diving along the coast on our way back to Gerona airport (the day we were to fly out....not too clever I hear you say). We arrived Friday evening and had a few beers that night, the same Saturday, and since we where flying out the Sunday night at 9:30pm we thought an early morning dive (7:30pm) would be fine, but we slept it out and didnt get to the town (cant remember the dive centre, will check later this evening) until after lunch, they said they next dive was at 3:30pm off one of the Islands. So we looked at each other, 3 instructors with a fair bit of experience, a divemaster who was the same, the DM op'd out to grab a coffee and we signed up for the dive, the girl asked when we were heading home, and lying through our teeth said the Monday! So off we headed for a dive which was an hour long and really quite nice, apart from me ina 2mm shorty (was 14 degrees in the water) as the Mares XXL is a childs XL in disguise! Apart from near hypotherma, which doesnt help if you fear DCI, my Stinger said we had 11 hours until we could fly, my mates mosquito the same, but my other mates Aladdin said 6 hours. So we ended up in the airport, the plane was delayed until 10:30pm for take off, which had the Aladdin Air clear but the Suuntos still needing more time. The point of the story is dont be an idiot like we did as it could have been a serious problem, but also how different the no fly times were.
