So true.
OTH I did not think about contacting Suunto until after reading a certain post.

l have another complaint about the Vytec.

If you accidentally fling it overboard form a moving dive boat the little barst*rd sinks.

Does the YD massive think l should ring suunto and complain?

EDIT

Oh, forgot to say, Ian you're a muppet

Yes, the warnings in the instructions do not cover this defect. However IMVHO Suunto should not sell computers to muppets like you.

Ian
i found that interesting and makes me feel that I should learn about what my Vytec and Vyper can do as I was unaware of altitude settings. A couple of people from my club do an annual dive in a lake up in Red Tarn ,now as far as I know thats up a mountain somewhere in the Lake District. How would you know what setting ie (yours was A something )to set it to?

RTFM Yaz

But to be slightly more helpful, from the (non-DS) manual:
A0 - 0-300M (looks like waves on the display)
A1 - 300-1500M (one mountain on the display)
A2 - 1500-3000M (range of mountains)

To change this setting hit the mode button to get to the "SET" option, then go to "SET DIVE" and then "Adj MODE". Use the scroll buttons to change the "A" setting.

(You can download the manual as a PDF if you don't have it)

A2

Somehow I had set my puter to A2. Not really essential for the Highlands of Gildensludge, Rapsberry, or even Stoney.

I am aware of all the settings, the only ones I change are nitrox gas mixes.
