| It was my understanding that Uwatec Dive timers were fresh water calibrated, as opposed to most dive computers. I always used to get slightly different readings from the D6 with the dive timer being about 0.5m deeper in fresh water and I was led to believe this was the reason - Made sense However I have noticed that the my Vytec DS usually gives the same reading as my dive timer so now I'm unsure what to believe. Happy to be of very little help ![]()

| A buddy of mine has one which thinks it it still underwater, about 18months after he surfaced. As they are only cheap and it was a couple of years old he just hung it up in his kit room and bought another. MyM

| Found this ... ![]() Therefore it seems understandable that the density of sea water may give a slight reading

Mine has never done anything strange. I've had it about three and a half years now and wouldn't be without it It's the computers that do weird things

| I have Just sent mine back. I have only had it 6 months and while at Dotti at the weekend it was out with both the time and the depth. It was fine on the Saturday at 24M but on the Sunday I was at 56M and the Dtimer was telling me I was at 59M. My time was out too. My vision and VR3 said 71mins and the Dtimer was at 87mins. Just waiting on Uwatec now to say whats up with it. I was not to concerned about the depth as I have known this to be different from the sea, but when the time was out I thought something was up. |

| After a good soak the reading has gone down to .7m now I have put it in the airing cupboard to dry out to see if it will turn off as it does not actually log any dive time even though it thinks it is underwater WEIRD!
