| I've only been using mine to 50m and its never bent me, i do feel better using the VPM though.

| Cant really comment on serious deep trimix dives, but i did my research before i got mine and they seem like the tool for the job. Looking at some of the names that use them on serious dives, if they are good enough for them and the dives they have done on them , then they are good enough for me, I have not read of any incidents, anthony |

The VR3 is clearly working for you, what more do you need to know? I've done around 300 VR3 dives. A few to 100m, a few to 70m, probably 100 to 50m, and I think around 220 of those 300 have been deco dives. I set the VR3 to safety 20 and I O2 flush at 6m when I have 25 mins deco left to do. Never been bent. Juz

| I've done perhaps, 20 deco dives on a VR3. No bends I'm aware of. Not a massive sample, but all I can give at the moment.

| I know of no one that has been bent whilst diving a VR3.....I know several that have been bent when not diving a VR3. That's not me saying that the VR3 is good at getting you out "unbent" (I dive one) just saying that I think the question is a little pointless.....but not saying you shouldn't have asked it! |

| I have done hundreds of deco dives on a VR3. Never been bent. It is not the computer that bends you. Or the tables, it is you own physiology. Some are OK with very aggressive gradient factors. I know that my body works well on 20/80. As Juz said earlier it is not an exact science. That's why it is called decompression theory, not FACT. You can do exactly the same profile on 100 different days, and maybe on one of those dives you will get bent. Let's face it shit happens. We all have to assess the risks for every dive that we do, then if we think the pros outweigh the cons we jump in. Steve |

| Me and the guys I know I can't think of a VR3 bend. SOP is pretty much 20% safety. I do know anecdotally of a few bends with people diving 0% in cold water and drysuits etc but then that's to be expected, and the reports were very small numbers and not major bends. I have heard the VR3 described by some divers used to tables and other models of computer as conservative. Personally I don't think so, but it may seem that way to people I dive with because I tell it to keep me in the water a bit longer for the sake of a few extra minutes. I would strongly dispute anyone who claimed it was any more dangerous than any other computer, and any deco program I have seen or used. It's how you use it, but at the same time the minimum limits are relatively safe. Digs. |

| I have never heard of a bend on a VR3 whilst using a reasonable conservatism level. I use 20 for all my diving and have had no problems. But I do know of a couple of bends when people have used 0 conservatism. As other people have already said it is only deco theory not fact. Safe diving Richard |
