Has any one on the boards have any experience of buying a second but fairly new VR3 and then sending it off for a colour screen up grade ie can it be done ,is it worth it etc etc

depends on the age of the VR3 (and what board it has got) and it usually costs approx £200.

I would ask for the latesy software at the same time aswell.

I had a colour screen fitted to my Version 2.1 VR3... I felt it was worth it at the time..
I have since sold and bought a new one, again this one is a colour screen.

There is a colour one on ebay at the moment...

VR3 on eBay, also, Dive Computers, SCUBA Snorkelling, Sporting Goods (end time 22-Mar-08 10:52:13 GMT)

i have a spectrum and my mate has just got one at the dive show,

easy to read,nice and bright, i think it was well worth the extra,

eats the cells a bit with the backlight on, but hey who cares!
