| VR3 - a stoatir!! Yes - as we say up here tropical Scotland - it's a stoatir by the way...pure dead brilliant pal! Indeed... a stunning piece of British engineering...took the general advice and buried the manual in the garden and just played with it till I figured out what presses do what....nice gadget!!

| I like I like the fact that you switch on your gases for the dive and it then "suggests" politely that you might want to swap to them.. rather than the traditional selection of gases from your presets (a la Nitek 3 and Vytec).. and the PIN upgrades are nice...and you can even send it off to get a colour screen And it makes a brilliant lump hammer too

| and so much easier than having to guess although deep guru tech divers such as Mr Fish dont need them

| Infra red Link mmm - having had the "joy" of using Suunto dive manager (scrambler) for many years...I just scribble date max depth and dive time in my blue book and leave it at that. At some point of windows / Suunto incompatibility, I lost all the data I had input (dive site names etc)..and it now needs me to reload Motorola Modem Drivers any time I plug in the lead...so I have decided that dive computers and laptop computers should be kept as far apart as possible :-) The Infra red bit must be something you buy... or maybe I skipped that page...is it interesting?

| You mean people still log dives, dive logging has never been something i have been into. The only time my vision head gets plugged into a PC is for softwear updates, and i have never used the dive logger softwear on it. ATB Gareth

| yup I believe that along with me...there is a bloke in Aberdeen who also logs his dives...the UK Dive Log industry depends on us buying a blue book every couple of years...anybody else want to own up to keeping a log book (I know, a bit like admitting to being a sheep abuser..but we could start a club..) As anyone up here knows..diving in the Gareloch makes "dive logs" a feature of every dive :-)
