I have one...My old Aladin Air X gave up the ghost and this was the only route to getting a battery fitted.....Buy one fitted in a Gallileo Sol!!

I havent used it but from just looking over it and having a play it is a very easy computer to use and the display is large and easy to read.

Sorry, cant offer much more than that

oh, its really well built, feels like a lead weight in your hand!

I have about 20 dives on one and am very happpy with it. Large easy to read screen (with options for how you want data displayed) and as many functions as you can think of (including the fact that it is so large it looks as though you can get Channel 4 reception).

Consider if you need all the options as its baby brother (Terra) is a tad cheaper and can be upgraded to the full Sol Spec if required.

Having said that I was happy with it, I did loose the gas integration facility mid dive on Sunday and not worked out why yet (I have 2 sets of regs, both with transmitters and one may be dodgy).

Uwatec's Z8-L8 ADT, adjustable 1-5.

Apparantly the Sol is to be given a software update that will allow the use of Trimix. The beauty of the computer is that the user can "upgrade" the unit when new software or updates are released and so long as they dont get ideas to charge for releases this is a very good way to keep the unit bang up to date.

Just bought one, as my trusty Vytec was getting hard to read without sticking it on a pole and holding it a foot away. Impressions so far very good - but, erm, I'll have a better idea when I have had it in the water.

Companies that are quoted publicly must have product liability insurance to protect their shareholders. Until the research into trimix is completed you will only be able to buy a trimix computer from a private company that can go broke if need be (and open up in the wife's name!) should they need to defend themselves in court. Abysmal Diving was a good example of this. I think you will find that is why APD was formed so that the business of AP Valves was not at risk should the worst happen.

The Galileo Sol is a terrific full-function Nitrox computer and the only one that integrates with your bodily functions. The Terra cannot be upgraded to be gas (and hence breathing) integrated.

It uses a unique Buhlmann ZH-L8 ADT Reduced Micro Bubble, Predictive Multi Gas algorithm - with optional Profile Dependant Intermediate Stops.
