| Whilst training in Stoney yesterday, on the 4th dive of 4 over 2 days the Uwatec dive timer I use as a backup against my computer went all wacky - one minute it was fine and dandy, and the next it was displaying a 4-6m depth error, 99.9m max depth dived, 24 degs temp error and a constantly changing depth. Anyone have any ideas what is causing this? I am reading with dismay that these units don't have user replaceable batteries which means that if it has failed then I have to replace it Cheers for tips etc.

| Can't find anything in the manual but perhaps a service would sort it

| I had one of the early 330m new style ones. A 60m dive in NDAC came out as a 259m dive. Pressure sensor failure- Scubapro replaced immediatley and since then no problems at all. I really like the clear display and the fact that it gives me all the data I need. My only additonal suggestion is to stick some clear film over the display as they can scratch easily. If yours is having problems would be worthwhile contacting Scubapro and seeing what they say. Whilst the units do not have a replaceable battery at the price they can be bought for nowadays they are just as easy to replace. HTH Ian Last edited by IanDennis : 27-03-08 at 11:35 PM. |

| If they put a user replaceable battery then it would cost alot more, they are designed to be used for (not sure the life span) the short term, maybe 2 years? Was it around 6 degrees or lower, as had an issue with mine before in a very cold lake.

| I had one go whacky after 2 years or so, it stopped working just showing ERR then cleared and started again a couple of days later but with some of the dive log missing, I didn't trust it so sent it back, and Scubapro/Uwatec replaced it FOC. It was obviously fooked.
