| Vyper2/Dive Manager I have used a Suunto Vyper computer for three years (110 dives) and was fortunate enough to win (through Dive Magazine) a Vyper2. I have used the new computer on my last three dives (together with my original Vyper) but cannot find out how to download dives from the Vyper2 to my PC via Dive Manager software. The Vyper2 manual provides no information, the Suunto website says that it is automatic once the USB connection is made; I remain baffled! Anyone able to help ......... please? Paul

| Go in to functions, memory, logbook then PC set and connect via the USB lead to computer. |

| Thanks but all I'm getting is the error message that I'm timed out! Paul

| Herein lies the problem! I have had no problem using Dive Manager with my 'old' Vyper, it's a simple step by step process using TR-PC and is clearly described in the manual and handy card that came with the package. With the Vyper 2 there is no TR-PC function as far as I can see and the manual lacks any detailed reference to downloading to PC. Paul

| Hi Paul, Are you using the dive manager that came with your original Vyper ? If so you may have to download the lastest dive manager software from the Suunto website which will be compatible with the Vyper 2. Dave |

| I can't get my suunto cable to work either I have both the Viper and Viper 2 Viper: connect serial port to Viper connect usb to lap top select TR-PC on Viper open suunto dive manager enter login name and password select ACTIONS -> DOWNLOAD WIZARD download wizard pops up select next ...... then wait 20 second and get a box telling me device not found Viper2: exactly as above except there is no TR-PC option so i just turn on the Viper2 and leave it in logbook mode I don't know why it does not work There were no instructions in the box for the cable, and there were no instructions on how to use the cable in the handbook of the Viper2, even tho there is a section telling you the benefits of using the cable to transfer data I bought the Viper2 + cable at the show from Stoney Cove stand and told them I'd be using it for the Viper and Viper2 When I called them they did not know why it does no work I'm a little p!553d off by this |
