the new version of the Vyper (Vyper 2) does allow you to use a deco gas. The old one doesn't.

Vyper / Vytec

I have both. Bought the Vyper as my first dive computer, Before the Geko was available. Did my Adv Rec Tx and went out and bought a Vytec as it can handle 3 gases. The Vyper can only do one. I personally think the DS is a fudge, as you can put deep stops in yourself, or just come up slowly.
I ended up keeping the Vyper and using in gauge mode as by the time I had sold it and bought a bottom timer I would have been no better off.

Dive Safe

Regards
Nick
