Vytec reading 2m less

3 vytecs in the water today, one read 2m less than the others. After about 20mins the NDL on two of them was down to 5 mins, the other still said 13 mins left!!!
Is there any way to reset the vytec's depth ( I guess battery out might help??) or bin it??

I don't know for sure but I'd guess that the depth gauge is calibrated at the factory.

Perhaps send it back to Suunto rather than binning it?

Have you looked at the personnel settings on the computers as that effects the limits and timings, not sure about the depth thou

Was it bought in the same country? Wife had a French made computer that always gave a different depth to mine - we were told it was the fFrench fresh water it was calibrated in compared to the English slat we used it in.

Didn't really believe them so binned it and bought her a vyper as well.

send it back to suunto get them to look at it.

As far as I am aware the personal settings should not affect the depth reading.

If the depth sensor is faulty then it can not be replaced (well it cant be replaced in gekkos or cobras so i assume it is the same for the vytec)
