Hi Denis

Ya, that's a worry so I've a cunning plan to avoid it

I have to say though that, touch wood, I've not been stung yet and I get a lot of stuff shipped in from the US.

We'll see what happens but the saving on the computer and transmitter is enough to take the gamble...

Fingers crossed!

calski

I got my d6 from Cornwall including an interface cable for £399.
the d9 can switch between 3 mixes of nitrox, nice for more complex dives. the d6 can only switch between 2 mixes.

Well... I got it yesterday (the D9) and I'm really chuffed with it... however... I'm thinking it's a bit big to wear as a watch really... It reminds me size-wise of the "pop swatch" watches from the late 80s (in terms of size) or am I just being a bit of a girl?

Do people wear them day in, day out?

yup, both the missus and i wear ours everyday. this is probably more due to using it as a tool for the job rather than as a fashion statement, though as i swapped the rubber strap for the ti bracelet as soon as it came out, i can't be 100% sure!

Ha ha!

Indeed... I shall of course not be drinking babysham... well, at least not without a mixer

I've just got back from the red sea where my new d9 had its first outing

I am totally chugged with it - nice big east to read display. Looks great on the wrist too. I have kept the titanium bracelet on mine and just rolled back my wetsuit sleeve to accomodate it on my wrist. Will switch it to the other strap when in my drysuit. My poor old mosquito is now relegated to backup computer on my other wrist!

Quick question - I didn't get the transmitter when I bought my watch. Can I still add it as an extra? Is my d9 able to talk to the transmitter without any modifications?
