Gekko housing

Hi

Just got one of those divingniknaks bungee housing for my Gekko.

Anyone know how to get the original strap/housing off.

The advice i got from divingniknaks was to soak it in water then just press the back of the Gekko and it should pop out.

Tried that but no luck, now i've damaged the strap/housing after trying to prise it out with a screw driver.

Please help!!

Balders.

push the spring bars (similar to those on a normal watch) in with a pen/pencil and the straps should just come away in your hand.

The DSS boot then pushes on (might be an idea to warm the boot up in warm water to make it more malliable).

You will wonder what you did without one, once you have dived it a few times!

Ummm?

Right, now i'm really confused..

Soak the computer in water and press the back to force it out of the strap housing??

But the water contacts are in the strap housing?? And its stuck in there.

Tried taking the strap off and soaking the DSS in water but cant get the computer in.

One more go then its going in the bin.....

Balders.

Remove spring bars

Straps should come away

Soak in warm water

Prise computer out of black plastic casing
(this is quite a squeeze)

Put in to DSS mount.

Put on bungee

Jump in sea.

Ok so now its out yes ,daft question are you trying to fit the watch so the parts where strap pins used to go don't show ? because it will never fit ,try moving the casing round 90 degrees it will fit into the two cutouts ,the new casing sits with the widest part parallel to you wrist ,if you turn the casing over and check you can put the original strap pins posts into the cut outs ,jeez much easier to do than explain ,but I think I know what is a miss now
