| Battery Compartment of Vyper2 flooded.... hey, I attempted to change the battery of my vyper2 last weekend. I thought I had it done correctly and checked it in water and stuff before the dive and seemed to work. At the start of a dive last week (actually a club diver exam!!) it died. After checking it after, the battery compartment had flooded. The computer does still seem to work as I cleaned out the brown residue and popped the old battery in for a second as it still has a small bit of charge and it the computer does seem to switch on. Im just wondering if it is a case of cleaning and drying out the computer and trying again or does it need to be sent away for further work? Or has it in fact kicked the bucket? Hoping it'll be ok because im going to malta for a week next week for a week of intensive diving.............. Thanks for any help Last edited by troublegum : 20-05-08 at 09:01 PM. |

| Malta sounds cool!!!! No if it is still working, you are lucky but should make 100% that it is fully dry before retrying new battery. When putting new battery in put the grey/black ring (thingy that holds the thing battery compartment shut, not the see through cover) over your thumb pushing the face with the oring on it in to place then bring the disc down your thumb and put in place. It won't take much pressure and make sure you turn it the right way ![]()
