    VR3 High Definition Screne

I am going to be sending my VR3 Spectrum in for servicing when I come home in December and am wondering whether to get it upgraded to "High Definition". Is the HD screne really much better than the standard colour display?

Does it come with a Freeveiw Upgrade? Will you be swapping your reel line for coax?

    Hi

I bought my shiny new HD VR3 about 4 months ago and i love it, my tec instructor only as the monochrome screen and the difference is amazing, there's a few other differences in the new model but you can set it up how you want
It does burn the battery quickly though

I have had a spectrum and now have a HD. If you are happy with the spectrum and are not bothered about the extra functions the HD offers (see vr3 web site for info) for example the new screen layouts. Then save your money.

I some ways I wish I had stuck with the spectrum as I only dive OC and the HD has little to offer apart from the new layouts.

The main advantages are the colour screen over the original mono chrome but you do not have that disadvantage.

edit: of course it depends on what board you vr3 has as the upgrade price varies dramatically, if you have the latest board then it may not cost much more then the health check?
