Question Which compact dive computer?

I've a Suunto Stinger computer and I'm looking at purchasing another dive computer for my better half. We are mainly into warm water diving at present so the small display is fine.

I'm after a nice compact dive watch style computer and have narrowed down my search to either another Stinger. Or the Aqualand NX. Downside on the Aqualand is that its a bit more expensive and I will need to buy the PC interface unit. I don't think it comes with it.

I have everything needed for the Suunto already.

Anyone got any advice. Obviously already know quite a bit about the Stinger but how does the Aqualand fair?

If it ain't broke.........

If you like and understand the Stinger why go to the bother of looking for something else. As you say the Stinger works for you and you already understand how it works. You'll also get similar indicators if you dive together, as opposed to one being more conservative than the other and controlling the dive plan.

If you dive together than you'll be better off with matching deco algorithms.

Are there any plusses for getting the Aqualand?

How about a mosquito - does the same job, is the same size but cheaper.

Lightbulb More information about computers... :-)

The thing I like about the Aqualand is that ability to charge it yourself. Check out this link:

It is also a very nice looking bit of kit but the display looks small. Even when compared to the Stinger.

I think you are right about having two computers the same. Seems to make sense...so I'll probably get another Stinger...
