| Oceanic computer batteries. This could possibly be a somewhat ambiguous question (gosh, more big words!!) but here goes: Brother-in-law has an Oceanic air-integrated dive computer. I'm not sure what model it is but it's not too "technical", it's a few years old now and around the display in a "Play School today-we're-looking-through-the arch-window" stylee, bottom time or air, not sure which, counts down in different coloured pixel thingies. Without knowing the exact model, (hence the ambiguouty), are the batteries easy to change? Sorry to be vague but I am from Yorkshire, so is brother-in-law and two minuses do not make a plus on this ocassion! Thanks as ever.

| Hi, From that excellent description it sounds like it could be a Pro Plus or possibly one of the Datatrans range (I think that they were all clones of AERIS dive computers). The only one I’ve had direct experience of is the Datatrans and yes the batteries are quite easy to change if you can get hold of them (LDS or possible Maplin www.maplin.co.uk). I suggest you get your Brother-in-law to check the battery section in the manual for specific details (he can download a copy from http://www.oceanicworldwide.com/2004...s_manuals.html if he does not already have one). |
