Buddy Nexus is a two gas but the Vytec does 3 so its much better.

Cochran comander is too expensive

VR2 fantastic but expensive

I think there is a new Apex that does two gas as well.

Personaly I would stick with the Vytec. I use one and its prety good for what it is but you will need gas planning softwhere, Sunnto dont do any. If you do get a Vitec let me know and Ill help with the softwhere.

worlds of widgets

Actually... Cochranes can be had cheaper. They are quite aggressive in their deco though (i like this, it lets me pad where I want).

The Apeks is a re-badged dive-rite. They have a good reputation.

The Vytec is a bugger for putting your deco in the wrong place, even on RGBM50.

If you're after a nitrox computer and dont want to do daft things like 3 gas, I think the Apeks represents good value for money.

If you only want single mix, the Suunto Vyper is a good balance of dosh/features.

Thumbs up

I would (and did) go for the Vytec, I get Zaks point about deco in the wrong place, but this is more of an issue when cave diving as you can't choose your depth due to cave shape and direction, you don't have this in normal scuba though.
