Lightbulb couple of questions on vBulletin
Hi Guys,
I really like the vBulletin software is it free as in no payment required? (I did have a quick look on the vBulletin.org site)
Also how does the reputation thing work to give others rep.? (couldn't see any mention in the faq's)

Pick any post of mine, click on the scales in the top right hand corner, click the 'l approve' box and add what a great guy l am. Once you've done this you will be registered to give reputation.
However l think it only works after 50 posts, so you will have to follow the above instructions again after 50 posts.

Vbulletin is not free, but is cheap. IIRC, without looking at www.vbulletin.com, that is is about $180 to buy outright. They also do a lease. Support after the first year also costs.

If you want free, then Ikonboard (the previous YD software) or PHPBB (spelling?) would we worth a look.

Oh, as Adrian pointed out, vBulletin costs about £100 I think to buy outright but is is worth every penny for stability alone.
