What is the Max Size of Attachments I can Post?

Attchment size and limit? I did a post and attempted to attach a photo and it told me I was over my limit (one photo in another post) I deleted that and again attempted to post the photo, again I was told I was over my limit 38.4 KB. Can we no longer post photos in our posts?

You have an over all limit. If you exceed it you need to delete older photos to make room or post them elsewhere and link to them. Sorry, but the server size isn't infinite (or cheap)

Actually, re-reading your post, how big was the photo (in pixels and overall file size)?

what you need to know file 137kb width 599 pix ht 468 pix @28.8 kbps

If you select the bottom of the URL's it gives you - the ones with [IMG] at the start, copy and paste it into the thread you get this

Ok,

here is a "mickey mouse" version of how to use www.tinypic.com

Find the picture you want. I find google images very useful - http://www.google.co.uk/imghp?hl=en&tab=wi&q=

Right click on the image you want to use. A menu should appear. Choose "save as" and this will save the image to your computer, usually in "my pictures".

Click on the above link for tinypic.

1/3rd of the way down the page is an empty box with a "browse" button next to it.

Click on browse. This should open your picture folder in your computer.

Double click on the picture you want to use.

Click on the "host" button.

Wait. This may take about a minute if you are on dial up.

You will now get four boxes, each with a bit of gobldegook in it.

The top one is an Url
The next one is a Tag
The next one is an Img
The bottom one is a link.

It is the Img one you want!

Highlight this bit, right click and select copy from the menu.

Come back to YD (or wherever) and right click again in the Reply box on here. Select "paste". This should copy the bit of gobldegook onto here. It should have [IMG] at the start and [/IMG] and the end.

and you should get this!

Alternately you can just right click the image from the web and look under properties. Highlight the URL and press "Copy"

To post the image on the boards go (without the spaces) [ img ] ***paste previously copied URL*** [ /img ]

And hopefully Roberts your aunties live in lover...
