Question Where to post about a club?

Is there a forum on YD I can post information about our dive club to attract potential new members? A couple of the forums look like I could post this information to but thought I should check in case you don't like people advertising clubs. FYI - the club is non profit making.

As there isn't much info in your profile and no introduction from you , how about adding your clubs website to your signature .

If you fill your bits in here [url= [url]www.mydiveclub.co.uk ]My dive club needs members ... but put a / bewteen the [ and U after the co.uk
It will come up as a link to your site

You don’t need to be good at swimming to save lives.

OBVIOUSLY YOUR STUPIDITY IS ONLY MATCHED BY YOUR INCOMPETENCE.

Talking

If you want to attract new members then stick around, posts in the archives are not where new divers look. You will also find the web a very big place, most divers will ask on the forum if there are any clubs near ...........wherever. If we don't know you, they will not get directed to you, if we do know you, then you will be in our minds and we will send them your way....If we knew what way that was?

Hi to you anyway.

James

Hi, you could also advertise in the diving press, at least one of the mags lets clubs advertise for free.

Thumbs up

There are three sure ways to avertise your wares and hope to attract new members to your club:

1) Post regularly and become a known 'face' (personality) here on YD - new/potential members to your club will read your posts (your first shop window) and maybe check you out and then join.

2) Make sure you put a goodly amount of detail about you and your club (its website and any other contact details etc.) on your own YD UserCP profile so that other members here can get to know more about you and then maybe join.

3) Go to the Members' Services section and do a marketing post/thread about you and your club and allow others to read as much detail as you'd like to put in it, before they hook up with you.

If you'd like any help with any of the above - PM me and I'll gladly give you a hand.

Hope that helps
