| Word .doc files can be problematic to distribute on the net. Not everyone has Word or the viewer Using the wrong version can completely screw the appearance Some / Many antivirus products will block .doc download as they can contain malicious macros. The best method is to convert the word doc to HTML. Perhaps the most straightforward method is to get the .doc converted to a PDF file. Pretty much everyone has Acrobat reader installed. You need something capable of creating PDF files though. Ask nicely and I might be able to help there. Alternatively you could zip the .doc and FTP the zip file to your website, but your audience will have to download and unzip and have Word of the viewer installed, before they can see your document. |
