Dont you find there is a lot of members that have registered to YD but never posted ?

Isnt this clogging up the hard drive, and is that why we cant see who is reading the same post at the bottom now !!!!!!!

Yeah I have noticed theres a lot of people register, post a question get the answer and advice then dissappear sometimes never to be seen again.

Why?

Then when they do come back they have to sign up again to make a second post. I doubt if the number of inactive members is making Jay's database creak, it's the number of active members, not the silent ones, that might do that.

Stay welcoming. YD remembers you even if the forum members don't.

No - its queries from the database that cause problems, not the amount of information stored. Disk space is not an issue. More and more new members are posting regularly now and we get an average of 700 individual registed members logging in daily which isn't bad.
