links to external photos ??
Having a problem with linking & showing photos in a thread. Is it the length of the URL or the format that is a problem?
The link I tried is
'http://www.andyquayle.com/Anglesey%204&5%20July%2006/slides/P7040001.jpg'
what is shown is a normal link to the photo, not the photo itself
this link works
'http://www.andyquayle.com/YDimages/P7040001.jpg'
(the URLs are enclosed with '[img] .... [/img]')

so it could be the space markers (%20) or the number of characters .. I did try 2 sub-directories "Test" & "Te st" - they worked , which suggests there is a length restriction on a URL

OK, there is no length restriction on URLs but I don't know why this doesn't work - will look into it when I get a spare second.
