| Contact an administrator: Discuss Ebay links in Personal Ads in the Site Administration forums: I notice we have another new poster simply putting links to ebay in the personal ads section. I was wondering ... |

| Agreed I would say that the ad section is for items for sale , if say after a couple of weeks it has not attracted interest then post again saying " due to no interest items now on ebay" & rather than a long list of items give your ebay user name so people can go search if they want to .

| Personally I prefer the 'these are for sale, going on Ebay next week' route, but in essence I don't have a problem with it. If you do, don't buy the kit. I do think that 'For Sale' ads from people who have never contributed to the forum should be removed however. Juz

I do agree with Juz, A recent newbie's first post on YD was to let us all know he was selling stuff on ebay, although my posts aren't always diving related, at least my first post wasnt to sell kit! Aaran

| I too agree with the others...I feel that people that contribute to this forum be allowed to post ads.....but as with the last guy, he even said in his ad he was leaving diving, hense his sale. He obviously has no intention of contributing to this forum at all. I think these first time ads, should be removed...and maybe a heading to this affect in the for sale section.

Ebay is quite a good place to sell things but I can't be bothered to plough through 101 identical wetsuits from shops so I miss the individual ads that are often the interesting ones. A note in 'For Sale' is a heads up. I would prefer it if they'd say what it is rather than just 'kit' but it seems a sensible use of forum space as dive kit for sale is on topic. |

| My feeling is post it up for sale on the boards if it doesn't sell after a period of time then post a link to the ebay auction seems fair.
