Everyone seemed to be having the problem yesterday. Could it be that Mary & Louigi's ISPs have that 'plesk default page' cached and are still serving that up when they get a request for the YD page? i.e. it's stored on the ISPs cache, not their own personal machines.

Possible but unusual I'd say.

Talking A Resolution!

Look, this straight-forward!

Simply redirect your grenjerflecker to your 2nd grimp-filter table and then wipe your mooliebank so as to achieve harmonious flam-batter.

There: simple. Job's a gudun

I'll get mi (Luddite) coat...

Porg buggered YD again, we know it, she knows it, so lets not be having anymore of this 'it wasn't my evil avatars fault' banter!

News Flash!

A secret branch of DAN network, little know and considered to be even more 'holy' than DIR, spend most of their time uncovering plots of those who would act against our beloved sport. This quote is taken from a leaked memo, that was intercepted on its way to MI6;

To [classified]
Further to the recent 'black op' 564372/2 We have found the spy known as GROP, we believe she is working as part of DIVERNET to bring down any dive forums that offer any competition. Unable to confirm her identity further, we have discovered, the use of a DIABOLICAL piece of softwear, designed to look like a harmless little picture or 'AVATAR' as it is known in forum circles. On the surface this 'picture', although stomach churning, seems innocent enough, however recent experiments involving the use of this softwear in a secure server have found the following....

1. The 'avatar' has a 'gyrating' momentum - this is designed initially to gain the attention of the viewer, in a morbid curiosity type of way. A casual glance seems to do little harm, however staring at it for more than 3 seconds leads to the viewer to succumb to the following effects;

Dribbling from the mouth, and or nose and ears.
A seemingly hypnotic inability to criticise the appearence of the avatar.
A desire to obtain copies of the avatar for personal use, to emulate the one known as GROP - those affected can be spotted easily as their avatars show the 'rear' view of the person who appears to be dancing. We are unsure at this time, but think that GROP may have an accomplice known as ZOW

2. The 'gyrating' movement as mentioned in section 1, also has the following effect;

The movement generates what can only be described as a minor magnetic force, although not 'magnetic' in the true sense of the word, it does have an affect on softwear. In general the following, seems to happen;

As the avatar 'gyrates' it attracts lines of code towards it, this causes an imbalance of coding and makes any site - uneven and incorrectly balanced, this effects the program by making it lean, shortly before it falls on its side, emmitting a sonic pulse. The noise, heard only be persons trained in this highly specialised field, is best described as 'the sound of two cars hitting each other at speed' and is refered to as a 'crash'.

Unable to operate whilst lying on its side, having crashed, the softwear grinds to a halt, rendering it useless. The only way this can be corrected is for
an almost 'mythical' rebalancer to work their specialised skills and bring the site back to its feet. This involves wearing 'virtual' gloves and picking up each piece of code individually and placing it back in its correct place.

3. It appears GROP is under some pressure and fears her plans have been exposed, she may even realise she is being tracked, which has lead to her blaming other members of the forum for its recent 'crash'. Hoping to cause a witch hunt and direct other from her trail, she has recently blamed a member known as MARY, for the problems.

4. Anyone who may have further information on GROP, should pass it onto our network, she must be exposed (publicly if necessary) and the 'avatar' must be destroyed!

Report 2 to follow......

Nothing wrong with gyrating avatars. They stabilise YD so it won't fall off its gimbals again.
