| An interesting DCI story If you have a few minutes, this is worth a read... http://www.bishopmuseum.org/research...utz97/cmd.html All about Richard Pyle (of Pyle stops fame) and him getting seriously bent. Makes for informative reading.

http://staff.washington.edu/parker/s...bendstory2.htm I particularly found the bit about not taking "shallow" dives seriously interesting

Hehehe. I can think of nothing worse (apart from maybe diahorrea at the same time) as hanging on a line with shitloads of deco and sharks wondering if humans taste like chicken........

| One thing I remember about Pyle's bend description is that he had a big "pop" in his back before it hit. The same thing happened to me when I got bent, straightened my arm, something in the joint popped and within a minute the symptoms started.

| I've often wondered if it was a cause or a symptom. Like those heat packs, super-saturated saline thingies. You crack the disc and the energy is enough to trigger the chain reaction. Not a million miles apart.
