| i also analyze my gas between dives as ive alwys done !!! and change the mix settings between dives and check that setting before i leave the surface and check the screen again before setting off |
| |||
| Then its a mystery unless the two of you were as pissed as newts the night before and dehydrated |

| dr mike as a diver ive always taken my diving pretty serious as does glyn !! i never ever drink 48 hours b 4 a dive and 24 hours after just so that the alcohol content doesnt in any way impares the off-gassing of the nitrogen as for glyn he doesnt drink the day b 4 and the day after!!! and im normaly the one on orange juice in the corner on dive trips when every one else is on the lash |

| Hi Leigh, to echo what others have said glad you are both on the mend, reading your story has made me think on a couple of things I have no experience with the suunto so can't comment about any prob's there and I have only just started to configure my computor for mix before I would work out MOD and dive on whatever mix I had as if on air I may go back to that. My question is did you have to do the souix death march in between dive's to the top park? Hope you are back in the water as soon as your both fit. Steve.

| cheers for that steve as for the massive walk i always get parked in the bottom car park so i dont have to lug my kit a long way hence getting there at 4.30 am to have a cup o tea with narked at 90 (john) i have just spoke to the shop where i bought the computer from and they have said bring it in and we will sort it out !!! |
| ||||
| I don't understand what has happened with the computer. However, as each dive was progressivley deeper from a nitrogen viewpoint this could explain the problem. The computer is simply measuring N2 take up and not giving you "advice" on what is effectively a reverse profile. There is a lot of noise about reverse profiles annd this might be a good place to start. I am very pleased you are OK and I think putting this up for discussion is the right thing to do. Respect to you for that. Chris

| i just wanted to share with all of the divers on the forum my experiences on the forum as for the reverse profile i cant see any reverse profiles they where all deep getting gradualy shallower |
| |||
| This has been gone into before, reverse profiles have no evidence to back the theory up that they are detrimental according to the Hyperbaric medicine unit at Aberdeen. They once gave a lecture with the interesting way this theory got written into dive rules and it was like an underwater version of chinese whispers ![]() |
