I've had one of them for over 6 years, and it's still going strong. It's one of the earlier Apeks types, doesn't stick, have used with high O2 (but not 100%). It's got some scratches on, but seems pretty tough, although I am careful with my kit at all times.
I've also experimented with draining down my cylinder, so that when the gauge reads 0, there is still approx 30 bar left in my 7L. Seems fair enough to me.... my gas planning should mean I only need it as a vague indication.

When I used an Apeks button I was never comfortable with the accuracy. As others have said I have actually seen two fail. For these reasons I now use a conventional spg on a short hose.
