Some people believe this, at least from 6m up. If you keep the ascent slow enough the bubbles are small enough to be filtered by the lungs without doing any damage. However this is considered to be A Bad Thing at depth as the bubbles could (a) potentially get larger and (b) they might stay in the lungs and affect the gas/ tissue interface and thus affect subsequent off-gassing. So it'svery much a 6m upwards sort of thing.
Personally I think this approach is a little aggressive, and so I'm generally quite happy hanging around for another 10mins or 20mins at 6m. But YMMV.
