I can just imagine the Padi video, that bird with the nails and the bloke in Speedos, mid feb in Stoney, that would make it interesting to say the least knowing what the cold does to blokes.

mate of mine was doing some nice warm tropical diving as part of an underwater archaeology expedition to the philippines. the group started a '10m under club' (i.e. similar to the mile high club)

wouldn't try it myself mind - too many bugs in the water!

back to piercings - my sister had her eyebrow pierced but she said it really got in the way while putting drysuit neck seals on, and i imagine any other facial piercings would have the same effect. that's why i've only got my tongue done

Failing that, set up shop in Bang Kok or get in to 'films'

Never had a problem with the piercing ever. I also have a "cage" or "scaffolding bar" in my ear - a bar about 1 1/2 inches long that runs through the top part and then down to about half way down. Looks very very painfull, and it was!
