One could check this out if one so wished.
Very sad for everyone involved but the GMC do not suspend people lightly.
Indeed, IIRC, the GMC has previously been accused of not being rigorous enough in the self regulation of its members.

The UKDMC stopped using him last year, the HSE is just slow on the uptake

I actually rang the chamber today (londondivingchamber.co.uk) because I need to renew my HSE medical and the other doctor who works there is doing the medicals at the moment.

I am sure that will upset the competition who have gone as far as getting a .com web address to smear the company.

I use Mark Downes for medicals as well and thoroughly recommend him also. He is based in Worcester Park and like Uwila says is very thorough, friendly and helpful. I call him periodically for bits of advice and he's always happy to help. PM one of us if you want his number. HTH
