| Deepstops Well, after having deepstops drilled into me at all levels of tech diving. I can only say I'm a bit shocked to read in the new issue of diver (pg14), that they maybe ain't so good. It now emerges from two seperate studies, from USA and Norway, divers carrying out deepstops with a normal deep dive time, are actually increasing thier chances of getting DCI. The study included dry diving to 30m for 70 mins, on this longer dive deepstops were found to be beneficial over the buhlmann. But for a deeper shorter dive 65m for 20 mins the deepstop model was found to give a dramatic increase in bubble formation over the buhlmann model. So what fo you think of this then..... |
