I did a 3 minute dive to 21 metres on EAN32. Ascended at precisely 3 metres per minute to 12 metres, where I switched to 50%. I then continued up to 6 metres at 3 metres per minute. From 6 metres I then ascended at 1 metre per minute.

Then I got out of the water. Then I had a bacon and egg buttie. Then I drove home. Then I fell over, bent as a 3 quid note.

Some you win, some you lose.

Out of interest Garf - 3m a min seems very slow is that the ascent rates for DIR or were you just being extra cautious? Would you use those rates from deeper eg 40m up to 21m?

Dived with someone who was carted off to the pot after a 5m dive in 4 deg with no gloves on. Lesson there. Don't be all macho about it, use the protection you require. I was bloody cold with thick gloves on.

Digs.
