| I was reliably informed of instructors getting bends at 9m or less while performing the CESA drill. Ricky |

| I'm sure you can get a barotrauma type hit if you hold your breath and fire yourself up like a blob. But what I'm thinking of is DCI after a perfectly normal dive, say a pootle round the bottom of Blue Lagoon, a leisurely trip to the surface followed by a bacon buttie and a hot chocolate. And a Curly Wurly. And a can of Vimto. And a Waggon Wheel.

| Yeah, 198 mtrs! I mean, WTF is that about? OK, I had a pretty manky saw tooth profile but WTF can you do when you are being shaken about by a shark! Yes, I'm only joking, I've never been below 191 mtrs! Yes, I'm still only joking, I've never been deeper than ?? mtrs! Do you think that taking the piss out of DCI and saying I'll never get one is likely to upset some god of the bends? "Pah I say! Shallow bend? Never!" Just in case, Im having showers in future.

| I used to dive with someone who got bent in Ponds Forge diving pool in Sheffield witch is 5m deep. |

| BSAC Incident report has: 07/032 Swimming pool, 4m max - though this sounds like it may be some form of barotrauma, so not what you were looking for but still quite shallow. 07/183 Two dives 6m then 8m. Involved quite a bit of activity (training session) and does sound like a fizzy bend. 07/059 17m. Rapid ascent. Could be either from the description. 07/060 Multipul dives - Day 1 three dives between 4m and 15m, day 2 two dives to 8m. 07/147 16m. Heavy swell leading to divers going between 3m & 8m on safety stop. 07/360 Two dives second to 15m - no indication of depth of first dive so this one may not count. There may be more in there, I just skim read it.

| I knew of a commy who got a full nuero bend in a 3m pool. Apparantly spent some hours popping up and down adjusting models for a client and got careless/unlucky.
