Repetetive Deco Dives on Tables.

I'm going to Scapa again in June and I'm looking for some advice regarding deco tables.

Normally if I'm doing repetetive deco dives I'll create a dive plan using either V-Planner or DDPlan. When I'm in Scapa I won't have access to a computer so I was just going to use DDPlan to cut some tables with a GF of 20/80. As I won't know what the second dive is going to be until probably after the first dive, how should I pad my tables for the second dive? Should I cut some tables with a different GF to be used for the second dives?

Cheers.

Greg.

If you've got a phone that runs java then buy a copy of Jdeco. Great little program, saves taking a laptop.

Or dive steered by a computer instead of tables?

I took my laptop with me last time to run plans and ran the 2nd dive of the day using nitrox but on air tables.

This year I'll have laptop and my phone now has V-planner on it... Decoplanning-tastic.

My ten cents worth:

Your really dealing with an accumulation in slow tissues. Either you've sorted the fast/medium tissues out with the deep and intermediate stops or you haven't.

I increase the shallow stops by about 33-50% on subsequent dives - very often in the form of adding extra time between 6m and the surface in a very slow ascent (ie 5minutes to the surface from 6m on a minimum / no deco dive)

When we were doing several dives a day up in Scapa last year - we were doing the deeper Trimix dive of the day first normally then 30-35m dives later in the day - usually with a minimum amount of deco if any. We would take a 6M bottle of O2 with us and do 6m to the surface padded by about 5-6min using the oxygen to clean us up. It worked well and we weren't feeling knackered which is always a good sign

If you have the cert then an 02 "clean up" at the end of the last dive of the day is a very good idea as is a very slow ascent to the surface- especially after repetitive diving in somewhere like Scapa.

I not so sure that the vodka slammers at the end of my last trip were quite such a good idea but we weren't diving (or driving). Still I was completely "off gased" by the end of the evening.

I use Magners, Glenmorangie and Nurofen as an integral part of my deco strategy
