Oceanic Alpha 8 which is a lovely breathe. Used up to 80% with it with no issues.

Also have an Oceanic Alpha 7 that I bought 2nd hand am having serviced at the moment.

TX 50's I find the turret helps with the hose routing. I 02 clean and service my own nowadays but in the past I've used them straight from the box with up to 80+% with no problem.

That said Apeks say nothing higher than 40% without cleaning though.

Safe diving,
Steve

Personally use DS4 plus TX40 (if you can get) else A or X TX40

I'd recommend having a look at a Scubapro Mk20 or Mk25. Mounted on it's side it gives a nice tidy routing and the swivel helps feed the hose over the back of the neck, if that's how you choose to run it.

As to a second stage, well you can be less picky really .... so long as it gives a nice breathe ... I like Scubapro G250's or S600s

I've got a mix of T40's and TX40's, all on DST's. I've got a couple of Scubapro's that I occasionally use as well which I like, not sure what model but I think the Apeks 1st stages are slightly smaller and more compact. The Apeks 50 series I think are a bit pointless, you don't need the extra adjustment knob once it's set.

I've never had any of my regs put in O2 service but I do clean and service my regs myself twice a year so I'm fairly happy with the state of them.

Cheers,

Stuart
