What's a deco?

Sounds like a plan to me, only because it bores hell out of me to discuss theoretical dives that may never happen. So I can put my head round the door every now and again, and it won't clog up the rest of the boards!!!

Paul, you need Chasey to ned you when you're using 88s? Two numbers: 51m, 17 mins. Take a look. Scares pants off me. On a weekly basis.

Digs.

I've never seen the BSAC88 tables before. Have I got this right 51m for 17 mins shows 2 min at 6 m total? Really? V planner shows 40 mins of deco.

And I thought PADI RDP was aggressive! Do people still dive these tables? More than once?

Andrew

I think it's 4 mins at 6m. Isn't V planner known for bending a few people? And that's doing 10 times the amount of deco?

The PADI RDP is ok AFAIK, I'm comfortable using it. Then again, there's no deco on it, and if you go beyond the black numbers you suddenly get hit with 15 minutes of stops. That said, it never tells you how far past the black number....

Not quite, if you go over your no deco limit by no more than five minutes then its only an 8 minute emergency stop. However, if you miss you're no deco limit by so much that a 15 minute stop won't clear you then you really have to ask yourself if you are safe to be in the water; using tables is a basic skill of diving.
