Just had a thought. I dive with a backplate and wing. Can I still be DIFF? I have no idea where my torch is on my harness, if that helps. And I do wear my lucky pink diving pants whenever I go in the water (ask Turbanator).

hon - you can dive with a backplate, a wing and however you want - just so long as you do it because you want to - not because that's the rules - pink pants are a bonus! You're still allowed in - I'll re-do the rules tomorrow, and then we can all swear them in a crab blood ceremony or something - do crabs have blood - I guess I'll have to break another few open and check.
