Exclamation Using the 'DiFF' Forum

Eager as we are to allow and promote different sections of the YD diving community to 'have their own space' here, we've taken a view on this section of YD members (an idea born an bred on the YD boards) and being as it has attracted such am impressive following in such a short time (and we can argue 'til the cows come home as to why that might be - but are not going to!), we're minded to created this space for them to post their 'wares', posts and activities.

Just some common sense points in line with the rest of the wider YD community:

* I've made 'TheWisestFish' resident 'DiFF' Chairman. Helen has stepped up to the plate and has agreed to 'police' this section of the board. We expect the forum to be, like the rest of YD, largely self-policing anyway, but if she asks you to behave or edit a post, then take it as coming from any the of the Admins or Moderators. It goes without saying that the other YD Moderators and Admins will also reading the 'DiFF' forum.

* ANY baiting, trolling or flaming of other sections of the diving world or YD community will not be tolerated - we don't mind playful banter, but if it goes beyond that, it may be deleted without notice - so please, NO "where's my post/thread gone?!" type whining. Please remember that this forum is allied to and just like any other section of the YD forums - with all the member responsibilities which that brings with it. Any YD member can report a post or thread in here anonymously if they feel the need.

* ALL 'DiFF' Planned Trips and Recent Trip Reports are to remain being posted in the common YD forums for those threads - a move which the RB and Tek divers already do and the DIR fraternity is moving towards achieving.

* It's by turns admirable and parlty worrying that the 'DiFF' contingent has, up its sleeve, a range of bizarre and rigorous dive 'games' which they get together to perform (both inland and in the sea) - whilst this can be hilarious fun (and no doubt we'll be reading the results of who won any 'games' in the fullness of time), we have to request that there is to be no promotion of any dangerous or potentially harmful dive practices involving 'DiFF' or any divers in this forum: we do not want it to be notable for our first reported 'death by stupidity' or folks diving beyond their means and capabilities/abilities "just for a laugh...".

Lastly, it's common sense guys: we've given you a space in which to operate - f*ck it up and it can be taken off you for not playing nice.

Enjoy and dive safe all - always!
