Losing teeth diving

Handing gear up to RIB crew after diving the Kormoran in Red Sea. Weightbelt went up OK. Got BCD off and was passing to the RIB crew. Reg on long hose pendulums and smacks me in the mouth. £450 front crown goes spinning and glinting down onto the coral - RIB is moving - coral 8m below. Thinks: F**k it - just live with the gap till back in UK. I spent the rest of the time looking like a redneck from Deliverance.

Still was a great holiday

Alex

I've done the snorkel instead of reg trick, Forgot to switch the air on (who needs buddy checks!) Forgot to inflate the BC and sunk like a stone. First ever shore dive in Tenerife, I completely forgot what weight I needed and hadn't got anywhere near enough, spent 5 mins with me and the others grabbing rocks off the bottom and filling the BCD pockets with swimmers p'ing themselves.

My recent favourite though is going for a dive for the first time with a new buddy (namely Endoman), 2 1/2 hours drive up to Capers, unpack both my bags of gear out of the car only to find I've picked up the wrong bag and half my stuff is at home.

I've managed to make a complete tw*t of myself at Stoney when
diving with Leigh "Divebuddah" after my dry suit zip burst at 20m and began filling my right arm with cold water. Got to the surface and had great difficulty in raising my right arm both from the cold and the weight of water in my dry suit. Pulled open the cuff seal and drained about 2 litres of water out, much to the amusement of everyone present.
Not a problem so I changed into my semi-dry for the second dive and just as I was fully kitted and ready to go I shut the car door straight onto my right index finger causing a deep cut top and bottom.
After some first aid attention from the Stoney staff I decided to call it a day.
So no second dive, but fortunately Leigh was able to join Zepp for the dive.
Not a good day for me.

Those regs arrived yet? My simple kit packing check is make sure there is nothing at all left in the garage, then I can't have forgotten anything. Unless I have left it in the house, like my capers and Stoney cards.

Like most people I have done the "Why isn't my drysuit inflating" "Oh, bloody hose!" scenario a couple of times. I can't think of anything else at the moment, but I am sure one of my buddies will come up with something

various cockups so far

the usual bungied tanks to the seats, forgetting to turn air on, ripped neck seal in the water. Most interesting one was when i was in fort william with a lurvely hot water suit and KM MK17 superlite surface supplied kit. The sea floor around fort william is awash with common starfish. So in my usual manner - stuck 57 of them to me and then walked out of the loch.

I have never seen the woman who was on my line tender run so fecking fast screaming her head off
