| yeah, i've already contacted my dive shop for prices on the hydrostatic tests and been quoted from £35 per cylinder. The o2 is going to need cleaning, more proabable replacing because of the time scale that they have not been used, its just the initial outlay i'm trying to get my head round he has a job lot of stuff for sale- bc, drysuit 3 cylinders dive computer 1st and 2nd stage i'm not sure of the full extent of what he is selling, but he wants me to take the lot and flog it all individually.

| if they all need hydro and possibly o2 clean costing £35 each, i would give him 1 x 10 litres - £20 to £25 1 x 12 litres - £25 to £30 1 x 15 litres - £30 to £35 ash |

| I think it depends how much of a risk you're taking. If you buy them and it's your problem if they fail then Dr T's prices are about right, but if he's prepared to give you a refund if they fail then up to £50 per cylinder could be an acceptable price. HTH Simon A |

| I recently had two 10L cylinders hydro'd and refurbished (complete strip and respray) for 35 quid each and then sold them for 50 quid each. Try looking around for cylinder maintenance firms rather dive shops, you might find you get a better deal.

| yep. couple years ago i bought 3 in-test 12ltrs for £50 each so I would say anywhere from £50 to £90 for a second-hand 10,12 or 15ltr in test and in reasonable condition from that you can work out what to pay taking servicing into account ash |
